two things- (1) my average speed on an open freeway is up substantially; (2) you need to work consciously very hard not to be a jerk to other drivers by weaving in and out, because it is so easy.

yes...yes...yes !!! I'm not alone !!!

Hey folks, this was just great fun reading all your replies - and as others already said before, I can agree to everything above

Some things that crossed my mind over easter:

If my girlfriend (or any other passenger) would ever insist on driving top up while it's above 10 deg Celsius and the sun's shining, I'd tell her to walk ! (same if someone scratches the door sills...)

Regarding the chirps and waterspray from the car in front: We were driving to a restaurant I didn't know and I passed over the leading car - just because the street was wet. Needless to say that I nearly missed the exit on the highway

I'll get a garage only in two weeks. Until then my mother's old Volvo has to park outdoors and I have to drive 20 minutes until I get to my baby. Just so that it doesn't have to sleep outdoors
Just in case you also hate cat footprints: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=53820

BTW: What do you do when you park for shopping, visit a bar or a friend ? Do you close the roof or leave it open and unprotected ? (probably this is a senseless question since I already know the answer - but I'm always in a conflict: do I protect it or leave it "better looking" ? )

I love you folks ! I know I'm crazy, but I really do !

PS: Shit, and again I spent 2h in this forum instead of working.

I'll add some

We check the weather each night.. if the next day is going to be nice we wake up early enought to wash the car before going to work.

When we go shopping one of us stays in the car to make sure noone touches the baby

We can't have kids as noone likes it when you say the only place for them in the car is the boot

Any excuse to find good roads to drive on is a good excuse.. even if it means driving 100KM's away to buy a mars bar

Most of our friends think we are crazy.. We don't, we think this is normal.

As a female people at work can't work out why I have a picture of our car as a bitmap

Along with everything that has been said so far I find myself looking at all the latest issues of car magazines for new ideas.

1. I feel guilty for people getting honked at from behind looking at my car.
2. Found myself tuning into local jazz station .
3. Almost EXPECT a STANG/GM/Miata fly-by any time one them is on my tail .
4. Always go for the LONGEST route from point A to B.
5. Actually starting to pay attention to local weather .
6. Always parking at the furthest, inaccessible spot at the mall.
7. General axiety and paranoid when my baby is not in sight.

I know I'm too much.

This is ridiculous but true...

After having this car for over a year now, I still turn around several times to look at it after its parked. I find myself occasionally choosing an isolated spot in a parking lot (to avoid dings) and then angling the car to achieve maximum visual effect. What's really sick is this is really done for my OWN benefit when I'm walking back out towards the car. I definitely have a problem.

Every time I tell myself, "that's it for the mods", I start thinking of something else to do to it.

I actually removed the front licence plate and ordered the damn plugs for the holes from Honda b/c I just didnt like the way the plate looked on the front bumper.

What am I 17? I'm embarrassed to say, I'm twice that age. How do I explain that when I eventually get pulled for no front plate?

Oh and to the person who mentioned the question "What's the top speed?" or "How fast does it go?" as the dumbest, I thought that was the case as well until some guy in the parking lot at the supermarket this weekend asked me "Does it have enough power to get up hills and stuff?"

Please.

I think there's definitely room for a group of the anonymous stook-o-holics. But I think instead of trying to find a cure in the weekly group meeting we would just go further down the drain...
