Default Changes to the vinyl roof in 2005?

Hey guys... This is my first time posting, glad to be part of the community. I am looking to purchase an s2000 '04-'05, and back when I test-drove an '05 new (when i could not afford one) I remembered seeing that the roof was insulated from the inside and that all the levers and roof gizmos were neatly hidden. Just saw pictures of an '04 - all the levers were exposed with no isolation from outside whatsoever, except exterior vinyl. My question is... was I perceiving reality when I drove an '05 with insulated top? Or did lust trump my senses? I know of no official change made between '04 and '05, but I could have sworn... Anyway, the car handles like something feline, sounds like it too. Awesome machine, exposed levers or no exposed levers.

The frame is fully exposed inside the top on my '05.

I remember seeing a aftermarket liner on here somewhere. That may have been what you saw although I wouldn't expect to see this on a brand new car.
