Changing 2008 Wheels
as far as getting around it. If you swap wheels without properly getting the TPMS system mounted on the light on your dashboard will remain on. If you take it to the right shop they will be able to transfer the TPMS sensor onto your new wheels (pending wheel specs). Basically you're limited on the choice of wheels as some may not have the proper specs to mount the TPMS back on. As to which exactly you would have to inquire at an actual shop and have them inspect your TPMS system.

I have had the BBS' on my car for over a week and the TPMS light has not lit on my dash. Hopefully it stays that way. The sensor on the spare might possibly be keeping it off.

I put wheels on my CR without the TPMS sensors and I also did not get a light.

Congrats on the CR, awesome choice!
Where are your original rims located? Mine don't sit far from the car in the garage- so I am thinking that is a possible reason why the light doesn't come on. Maybe when I am out the sensor read cycle isn't long enough to trip the light, and when the car is back in the garage it thinks the sensors are on the car?
I swapped out winter steelies on my Jeep and the TPMS light didn't come on for weeks, now it solid.
In any case, hope it stays off...

In other words is it just waiting for a low pressure signal and unless it detects it it doesnt matter where the sensors are located?
