Changing 2008 Wheels

My TPMS light finally came on after close to 400 miles of driving. I can still turn off my VSA.
so... do i really gotta take it to the dealer to get it programmed into my ECU?
and... will it remember all 8 sensors for when I put the OEM wheels back on?
ok.
my first hand experience with my 1 month old 2008 s2000
1) when the tpms light came on (because i changed wheels) the VSA light did NOT go on. I was able to turn VSA off 100% for sure.
2)the wheels i put on were 2008 CR wheels with tpms sensors. the car will not learn the different sensors, you must go to a dealer to have the car matched with the new wheels. I did do this and the car is back to normal with NO tpms light, it took the dealer 15 minutes to do this, although they will claim that it can take much longer.
3) regarding the question above, i haven't tried this yet, but i'm 99% certain that if i were to put the original wheels back on, i would get another tpms light. in order to turn the light off the car would have to go back to the dealer the the original wheels would have to be re-matched to the car. (ie the car is only matched to 4 sensors at a time - not eight)
Also, i originally did not have a tpms light so i was starting to think that somehow i lucked out and my new cr wheels were automatically working with the car. Really what was going on was i wasn't driving a long enough distance at one time, as posted above the light doesn't come on when sensors aren't present until you drive the car for approx 20 minutes. if you lower the pressure on a working sensor the light comes on much faster.
