Cheap Insurance!!!
If your north of SC and east of Wisconsin Erie insurance is a really good deal. They also have good coverage. Meaning if you compare apples to apples with your policy coverages on the sheet they send you get more. Especially if your in NY, PA, VA, MD ask any body shop about Erie and they'll tell you your car will be right. Then ask about the same shops about Progressive, Nationwide, Geico, esurance, etc..... I'm not telling you what they'll say, find out for yourself before your car needs to be fixed. I used to run a bodyshop so thats why I mention that.
^No way will it be that high (I hope)!!! I just turned 21. under my parents coverage/history thats flawless. I have no tickets. Had terrible grades in high school. This is also my daily-driver. Full coverage under AAA and it just dropped to $128 a month. It's kind of strange because I just had my birthday the 19th of this month then it dropped? I'm not complaining! Our plan consists of us paying for 5 months in a row and then we have 2 months of "free" coverage or something like that. Anyways, its technically less a month because of the 2 months "free".
good luck!

Seems relevant enough with the number of replies this thread already has... If you don't like the USAA replies then just skip over em. I don't understand why you get to be the only arbiter of relevant and interesting posts.
Actually, he's got a point though..... USAA is a carrier that is not an option for many people....and for those that are afforded that option, they usually take it (for obvious reasons). They have an NPS score off the charts for a reason.
Keep in mind people... insurance has tons of factors that go into their rates.. I could have a roomate that is the same age as me with the same car, same coverage, same driving record and the rate could STILL be different. Posting insurance rates doesn't provide much value imho.
Who is to say that someone with a ridiculously low rate doesn't live in Nebraska with state minimum coverage, liability only, bundled with their homeowners, and has multiple cars and the S is not their daily driver.
Compare that rate to a 19 year old in a large metropolitan city who daily drives their s2k, it's their only car, no prior insurance, financed the vehicle and required to carry physical damage, and has violations on their record.
My $.02.

How much do you guys think an s would cost me a month?
I'm 18
no accidents, good grades
under my parents and they have no accidents
i'm willing to bet like $450

You just listed at least 9 different scenarios, all which could increase (or decrease someone elses rate). These threads don't help people because there are too many variables that go into rates.
Location
Carrier
Age
Vehicle
Liability amount
Coverage selection
Physical damage deductible
Policy Type
Driving history
wow im getting screwed... $330/month with progressive, but i have a not at fault motorcycle wreck, speeding, and a BS "drag racing" ticket on my record. (didnt know that the tires squealing constitutes drag racing FU kansas) any insurance agents on here wanna help me out? haha
i got a fat italian dude that eats from the kitchen of an italian joint covering me for insurance.
he said i don't have to worry about any paper work or insurance cards.
if i ever get into an accident, his guys will take care of everything.
and if i ever run into people with road rage he said he has guys that can take care of that too.
at least that what i think he said. it was pretty hard to understand him with that thick accent and deep slurry voice.
but i think i can trust him. he looks well financed. lots of big guys and one skinny guy in suits always around him.
he doesn't do anything over the phone or internet. everything is face to face in what he refered to as a "sit down". now there's customer service. i never felt so important.
my cousin vinny hooked me up with the guy.
^if anything goes wrong with that policy, just wait for the don's daughters wedding, and on this, the day of his daughters wedding, you can have one request.
