Could go either way. It was probably a lease, and "probably" driven pretty hard with little maintenance. Of course I could be wrong too.
I would get the VIN number and check carfax before you buy it, make sure they give you some sort of guarantee as well, usually 90 days. Then take it to your local honda dealer or machanic and have them give it the once over.

i was thinking the dealer could do the carfax and fax it to me prior to me making the 150 mile trek. good price though? and what color interior did the black exterior come with? black? don't tell me red was an option with the black exterior.
At that price I'd suspect that the car has a salvage title or some other major problem. The best thing to do would be to check Carfax, then arrange for a Honda shop in CT to look at the car. The inspection could cost $100 or so, but if the car is junk they should be able to tell you so before you buy. Buying a $15k car that needs a $6k motor or has a bent frame is not a deal. Buying a clean $15k car would be a good deal.
For example - I looked at a few '02 and '03's that had obvious unexplained problems. One '03 with 5k miles had evidence of the front clip being replaced (screw heads & panel fit) and also drifted to the right when driven. I figure someone hit & bent something. The seller could not explain why the clip had been off so I passed on the car, even though the price was good ( under $25k).

I came accross a few "great deals" on my search, one dealer told me they had only replaced the back bumper.
It was far for me 350 miles to the car, I got someone local to check it out for me (guy on this forum). He gave me the news.
Almost the entire car was repainted/ fenders replaced, etc etc, the car was one that had been spun and totalled on a guard rail.
Yeah "replaced back bumper" RIGHT!

Liars...It is possible that the car was professionally repaired. I would have a reputable body guy and a mechanic look the car over, inside and out, before you buy. If repaired correctly, it may still be worth it.
