I was driving this morning and all of a sudden the CEL came on. I doubt its from the gas cap being loose cause I filled up a few days ago prior without the light coming on. Is this something I should get checked out right away? Anyone have any suggestions to what may be the cause of this?? thanks in advance...

take it to the closest autozone or similiar store and they can read the cel for you and tell you what the problem is. come back and let us know if you still have ?'s

 

no one can tell you what it is. we can't read minds, and xviper's crystal ball is about as good as the amazing Cleo.

go get the code pulled from autozone or wherever, and tell us what the code is. also, if the CEL ever starts flashing as you're driving along, stop driving the car immediately, and get it towed to a dealership ASAP.

 

The flux capasitor needs refueling.

 

You might want to recheck the gas cap just to make sure. Sometimes the CEL light will come on a while after you fill up, not necessarily right afterwards.
