Default Checking out insurance numbers for the S

Remember all those posts about people "driving spirited" and somehow wound up with their car in a ditch or on a curb? All those stolen seats? Those cars that took a side trip off a canyon road? They all add up eventually and the S2000 is now getting some really crappy ratings from the IIHS:

These numbers are really bad. No wonder my premiums are going up. The only car that rates wors3 is the Mitsubishi Eclipse Convertible (probably on injury only). The S2000 takes 1st place for highest total score:
Wow... my wife drives a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. So I guess according to that list we have the two worst rated cars!

My premiums haven't suffered yet though... I hope they stay that way.

Can you please explain how to read those numbers?

If "100=average" and the S2000 has a score of 95 for injury and 225 for collision, does it mean it is better than average for injury and much worse than average for collision or does it mean it is just below average for injury and much better than average for collision?

Also do you have a source for the information?

Whoa. . .$250/mo for insurance on your "S". Did I read this correctly?

I thought my $94/mo was high.

my '93 Prelude VTEC runs me for $258/mo with comprehensive, collission and $2mil liability, at a 20% discount, accident free.

I got a quote on an '01 S2000 (planning on buying in the near future) - $304/mo.

Hell, my '86 Civic H/B is $117/mo, with no comprehensive or collission, $1mil liability..

It all depends on where you live...
