Checking out insurance numbers for the S
this is too crazy it's funny. I can't believe how people are complaining about this. Hate to say it but 95% of insurance costs are your fault. Period....someone getting into an accident will not affect your rates unless you have done something to put yourself into a different insurance class. My insurance rates on the S have been going down every year...around $50 per 6month period and if you think about it that's what should happen. As the car you drive get's older, the value of it decreases and the total loss replacement cost goes down. Your insurance should go down year after year unless YOU have done something to change it.
If you have tickets or accidents on your record then sure I'm not surprised that your rate varies. You're in the minority class of drivers and at significantly greater risk of loss. That level of expected loss changes year over year.
Insurance isn't going to raise by substantial amounts 'just because' you have to either be in a special class or your insurer has to decided they no longer want you as a customer. This happens in some markets, when the insurer wants to leave the market entirely. In these cases they'll raise everyone's rates till everyone switches insurers

find a new insurance company. seriously.
Problem is, even though my previous company was trying to screw me, changing companies loses a few discounts that won't come into effect after a renewal or two.
I also did nothing to justify an increase, instead I was told that the S2000 is constantly being classified such that rates are going up.
