On a completely unrelated note, Valley Honda has two S2000s in front of their store. A black/red MY2002 and a Silverstone/black MY2003. The MY2002 has been on their lot for a few weeks now, so I am sure they'd be ready to deal.
Hey Ulrich, this is looks like gold to me! I'm in the market for an S2000 soon and can very well use this as a price match article. If it's not inconvenient, can you send this article to me via mail(if you don't need it)? I don't think they'll believe computer print outs. I'll PM you my address if you agree.
Haven't updated my posting info yet, but I just picked up my '03 this week from Carr's Honda in Chicago. $ 30,076 out the door. That Grand ad is a better price, but my experience was easy and hassle-free. Talk to Russ Anderson or Larry Hernandez. Don't recall reading anything about Grand, but you guys may want to do a search on that name to make sure they are not whistlin' dixie.
Man, does this car ROCK or what????!!!!! Even with no vtec. I don't know what these people are bitching about saying there's no torque.
Had the top down for a few hours thru and after Chicago. It was about 40 degrees out, so put it up at dusk. Hit 600th mile as I pulled into my driveway here in KC...in a driving rain for the prvs 2 hours, bummer. VTEC is coming...on the next driveable day here in cowtown.
You guys gotta get this car. It is AWESOME.

I saw a post from somebody in Denver who said he got his at John Elway for $28600. I think the days of MSRP are over here.
Ralph Schomp was sending e-mails for $1000 under MSRP.
Now that summers over it looks like theres some great deals in Denver.

Great info! Keep it coming!
Has anyone followed up on these? Are these prices on one model, maybe with demo miles? Or is this the price on all in stock? How many S2000's do they carry? Are they sitting on the lot? What about ordering? The one S2000 listed is at $29,950, same stock# as above.

No, they actually do sell these cars. Though they are the masters of the pressure sale, so buyer beware when you go deal with them. I'm in sales myself, and I was highly impressed by the weasel's, uhm, automotive consultant's psychological skills. Also turned me completely off the dealership, of course.
The stock number they use in the ad just seems to be the generic code for an S2000 they use in their systems.
Use these ads to negotiate a better price with your local dealer. Or call Honda of Lisle/Honda of Joliet and demand a price match. That really is the easiest way to go...
