Children in the S
Air bags can be deadly for young people. If you don't have a cut-off switch, I recommend not letting the child ride until he or she is tall enough to sit properly in the seat. I beleive the S2k Owners Manual recommends against children riding in the S.

Why wouldn't you take your kids in the S2000 in a boosterseat?

This may be a big mistake. If your child is tall enough to use the seat belt, you're better off without the booster seat. The seat will bring the child closer to the airbag, making the airbag potentially dangerous. Without the cut off, you're making things more dangerous. Once my son was tall enough for the shoulder belt to hit him correctly, he was in the car. Before that-no way.
It's better without the booster in any case.

but that life insurance payout is pretty tempting...
i'm kidding, i'm kidding.
its non issue now as the boys are 13 and 10. They rode in the S like once each with a booster.

I was merely answering their question. As I posted above, I took mine for short rides with the airbag on
The issue is that an airbag is MORE dangerous than not having an airbag for children who sit too close to the bag. Their chest walls are not as thick/strong, so airbags have been known to cause serious or fatal damage such as cardiac rupture. The car seat/booster actually moves them CLOSER to the airbag, so it's even more dangerous.
Best is turn off the bag. Next best is no booster if they are old enough (meaning tall enough) for the shoulder belt to be effective. Otherwise, please avoid a tragedy and keep your kids out of the car if it doesn't have a cut off.
