Read around that the 00 and 01 models produce less horsepower at the wheels than the 02 03 due to the chip or ecu. Is that true. If it is, how much horsepower and is it worth upgrading to that chip. Also is that the only thing they changed in the engine. Thanks

 

You cannot change the chip. You have to replace the whole ECU. The later models had a slightly different fuel map and gave the car a few more HP (maybe 5 more?).
