well if you are expecting a huge spin with smoke then maybe, but if you are just expecting a little "chirp chirp", then you should be able to hear it. I can hear it top down, top up, or hardtop on.

If that was the case, you would be able to return to that spot and see the black tire marks on the road. I don't think that is it. If you were spinning that much you would notice it - the back gets squirrely!

no, FWD gives you a huge advantage especially with something as soft as an accord.

One of my friends was driving my car the other day and he chirped the tires hitting second, and that was his first real test drive. I was out side of the car filming it at the time. So I really don't think technique has much to do with it.....hit redline and shift. Sure you can roast them in second if you ride the clutch, but that can be done in almost any car.

i hit second everytime i red line first gear. it spins for a couple seconds or a chirp. depends on how hot the ground and/or tires are. sometimes you hear it and somtimes you don't. if you don't hear it, you will still feel the car spinning. When i fist got my car i couldn't hit second until about 1500 miles or so. it is really not that important if you can or not. no sense getting pissed and beating the crap out of your car over it. just enjoy it and have fun driving. ill will come

How does limited slip diff come into play here? Does it or doesn't it come into play? What does limited slip diff do anyways?

I know i might get flamed for this because everyone thinks, "use the search function" is a good response.

Yes! The SO2s are very quiet tires. I've heard many comment on it.
