yes, $600 sounds about right. If you are paying $1k, its probably their service fee. Polishing is usually $125 a wheel as well, but you dont need that on the stook wheels.

The prices haven't changed on chroming in the last 10 years. However, I hope that the process has changed, or else, there is usually some flaking off of the chrome after 15-18 months in my experience. Not sure about how long they stick these days.

I think greg would be hanging out of the car checking in the chromed wheels for parsley in his teeth....so as to not embarrass himself for Ms. Sondra, which may adversly effect the handling/etc...??

quick guesstimate of added weight if chrome were 3 thou thick is and evenly distributed 1/2 pound per, ballpark. This equates to somewhere in the lot less than 1% increase in unsprung. I know I would NOT be able to detect, but maybe some might. ?

Good guess, that's exactly what I was trying to get at. I have no idea how thick the chrome would be...so that was part of the unknown for me. I totally agree, if it's that amount of weight, no one would ever notice any change.
