If your willing to spend the money, I recommend the Mugen dual. It's very deep, no drone and lust 2-3 decibles louder than stock while cruising but very nice tone at Vtec, WOT and rev-matching....

Yep, if you can swing the cash, Mugen is your best fit.

A fujitsubo exhaust would probably fit your needs. A few local guys have them, they sound good , especially if your looking for an exhaust that is much louder then stock, but sounds aggressive.
BTW, SIIK2NR, that mugen exhaust looks great , I've never had the chance to hear one in person though.

I own the SuperSprint exhaust, looks great on the AP2s, but I don't know if it'll do what you want. Its louder down low, not obnoxiously loud, but certainly noticeably louder. Loud in a good way though with a nice low bassy rumble ... But in VTEC you never really hear it, most of the noise at that point is going to be intake noise anyway ... especially if you have a CAI.

I used to have a soundclip of the SuperSprint exhaust before my old webhost crashed but I haven't been able to find it. I do have a dyno video which might help you out in terms of sound ... will try to look for the dyno vid when I get home from work.

I have yet to purchase my S2K, waiting till spring time but I too have been looking at exhausts and also want more of a refined system and classy looking. Check out tanabe-usa.com and look at the Touring Medallion under 93bd and I personally like the look of the mufflers and the tip I also like the look of the Fuji as well.

When I talked to tanabe they said during there testing on an 04 S2K the gained 4.9 HP and later in the year and inpependent magazine tested the exhaust and gained over 3hp. They said they were happy with the gains since some don't gain any or as little as 1hp as we all know.

i have the apexi gt spec, it isnt that loud at all below v tec, and when v tec does hit it sounds sick, 500$, its sick and weighs like nothing, i don't know why everyone loves the dual so much, single is the way to go, save ur money, screw the mugen exhaust, way over priced, lets see the replys this gets saying that about mugen

The Amuse single with resonator is not as loud as you might think, and there is some weight to be saved.
