I think it's great for the consumer that we've got a bit of competition here for pricing and all but I think you guys should keep the "you don't do as good a job a me" comments out of it. As they say, the "proof will be in the pudding" and those board members you provide the service to will be the ultimate judge of the "talk".

Does anyone know if there is anyone in Northern New Jersey that installs this product? I really like it and want it on my car but can't find anyone at a reasonable price.

As far as your training at Stongard. That's cool and all, but I've seen a lot of "Stongard Trained Installers" and they get a lot of wrinkles in the material. I myself went to reflex training which is backed by 3M.

As far as how many pieces there are... There shouldn't be a "lot" of pieces. The hood should be one piece, the fenders should be one piece, the mirrors should be one piece and the bumper should as well... be one piece.

Concerning the colors of the cars that hide the material. Lighter colors hide the product better. ESPECIALLY silver cars.

Anyway, I'm not trying to start anything, just wanted to address a few points.

I am not trying to get into a mud slinging contest, just trying to give my opinion on what I have seen on the cars that I have seen with the protection on them.

I am not familiar with the product that you sell, meaning the cut, the material is the same as the 3M right? So the only difference would be in your experience as an installer and the cut of the material. It sounds to me that you are an experienced installer, and there really isn't any competition anyways, unless someone is willing to drive to northern California to have their kit installed.

The two major points that I was trying to make is that if someone is going to put this product on their car, they should make sure that it is installed by someone who knows what they are doing, or at least has some familiarity with the material. The other major point is that, in my opinion, you want a product that is going to give you the best coverage, and out of the companies that sell this product that I have personally seen, Stongard is the best.

These are the reasons that I bought my kit from Stongard and why I invested my own money to open my own business as an installer of this product, I believe in it.

P.S. About the color of the cars and the material, you are correct, Silver and metallic colors hide the material the best, but the point I was trying to make is that I have a white S2k, and anywhere where the material is there is a line because the dirt collects at that point and makes the line where the product begins very visible. After I wash the car it might go away, but that is what I have noticed.

So you see we really are on the same side, Matt

I understand the invinca-shield front bumper cover is actually in three pieces. Do the seams match up well? Did you do the install yourself? From the pics it looks very good.

I had my car done in Fort Collins at Auto Trim Design. I autocross and did the front bumper, front fenders, hood, mirrors, around the back of the front fenderwells, the rocker panels, and the front edge of the rear fenders. This has worked well for these areas that are subjected to hitting cones. I did not do the lights as I didn't want to affect the pattern, and the possibility of crazing. Plastic is easy to polish out. It cost $650, and the pieces were custom cut from a full roll, which gives better coverage. A Z06 covered the same way runs about $900. It comes out to about $30 a square foot installed, but the installer did a superb job. Of course, I could have covered the car in ceramic tile for less, but then you couldn't see the paint. I think for resale this mod is one of the best out there. If you are around gravel or bugs it is a great way to go.

I found a place that sells it real cheap. I got one for my truck for $120. I think the kit starts at $160.00 for the S2000. It was not that hard to install either. Not sure for the Honda. The place is www.rockblocker.com. Fast service too and looks great!
