Default Clear Headlight diffuser

Alright, a few questions. How many of you guys have does the this mod? What would the difficult level 1-10? Is it legal?

Also, is the turn signal bulb amber or clear? To my knowledge, the DOT requires that the front turn signal must be amber, so when you change the diffuser to clear would'nt the signal be clear making it illegal. Or am i mistaken?

Because the S2K has HIDs, when you take it apart and put it back, doest it have aiming issues? Does the seal goback properly or has there been any bad cases of condensation?

Just a few question while i was looking on Rick's.

although mine was done by w1ngman (shameless plug), i would rate it 7.5. taking out the headlights and separating the pieces to install the diffusers is quite time consuming.

yes. it is legal as long as you go to pepboys and get amber light bulbs to pass inspection.

no condensation issues for me.

Which of the 4 (USDMclear, Smoked, JDM) blocks out the bulb the most?
And for the smoked one, does it looked funky if the whole headlight isn't smoked?

I would say the JDM smokes hides the bulbs really well. The smokes seem to have a purple hue to it, which is seen under certain lighting. And no, it doesn't look funky if the whole headlight isn't smoked. Just go with JDM clears, can't go wrong with those.

I just did this mod yesterday. It was very time consuming. Remember, it was my first time!! I put on the bumper like four (4) times, thats only cause I didn't like the way it came out. Until the very last time.

I love the way it came out. I have a Spa and I put on the USDM Diffusers. One bulb is amber the other is clear. The amber one is the constant one and you guessed it, the clear one is the turning signal light.
