Default Clear headlight lenses illegal????

I was shopping for clear smoked tail light lenses for my wife's Expedition last week and the sales guy at Leonard Truck Accessories told me that he recently received a notification from the head office stating that legislation was recently passed in North Carolina that will make clear lights, used in conjunction with colored bulbs, illegal. Apparently Aztecca style lights with built-in colored lenses will still be okay. It looks like cleared head lights on the S2000 with amber bulbs will be included in those classified as illegal. Offenders will apparently have a period in which to have modification brought back into compliance

I did extensive searches on the internet and was unable to find ANYTHING regarding new legislation addressing cleared lights.

Has anyone else heard similar news???

unless your clear-headlight is emitting blue(not xenon bluish) or green light, it shouldn't be illegal
