Default clearing head lights

I just recently cleared my front lights, a warning to people who tries to attempt this in the future, BE VERY CAREFUL, the work was a pain, and today when I checked it up, first I thought it was dirty, so I scrubbed it with Plexus, but some lint didn't come off, I was like O . I seems that some of the lint has gotten into my driver's side head light before I sealed it up!!!! ahhhhhhh, do you guys think a shop would be able to fix it for me?? it's also a tiny bit misaligned. if you guys want pix I would post it up

From the sounds of some of the more recent posts on this subject, it would seem that this whole thing is a HUGE ordeal. Is it really worth it? I've done all kinds of things for the sake of my car but this just seems like it's overkill. (My personal take on it.)

Go from under the fenderwell and use a blowdryer to blow air into the blinker light to get the light out. Get used to this because I'm sure your lights will sooner or later get fogged up. I put 3 bottles of windshield sealant to seal my lights and they still get fogged up sometimes. Lastly, to align your light (raising the beam or lowering it) there is a star-like knob that needs to be turned that is located near the top blinker light. Try searching because I know this has been discussed in detail before. Latez!

Im with xviper. If you calculate the alternative value of the time you put into this job, it's probably going to cost you more than just buying the Euro clear corners from MG Racing.

I think I would purchase a set of Euro head lights sooner or later, though I like the results a lot from doing this (other than the stupid lint) The fronts lights look much sharper. The Euro spec light cost around 1000 right?? much to expensive to pay for a set of lights.

I have a hard time believing that it is better to pay $1000 for a set of headlight to get a look you can do for the cost of a heat gun(or use the oven) and some silicone. It is alot of work and a PITA but it costs around $5.00..... But if you got the xtra money for new headlights then what tha hell...

awWhHDayUm, Sylvainsf and myself all cleared our front lights on Sunday at the Bay Area Tech Day II. It WAS a lot of work, but well worth it, and we collectively "saved" $3k by not buying the euros. I also think the result is much sharper. My DAD even noticed yesterday, and he's 65!

My PIAA bulbs finally arrived today. They are blue in color, but light up white with a slight blue tint - an exact match to the HIDs we already have. No more yellowish sissy wattage glow. I took pics, but I have an old school camera - not digital. There's a pretty cool effect, too, when the lights are off. From all angles of the car, the corner light housings (previously amber covered), look silver. But when you sit directly in front of the car and squat down to headlight level, the area is a deep blue because of the housing reflections of the bulb. I need to get the pics up so you know what I'm talking about. I like it. Actually, it's similar to DJHohum's, but the blue of my bulbs is darker, and my car is silver.
