Default Clicking coming from left rear

Been doing this 'click-click-cli-click' sound for a few days. I can only notice it when starting from a stop, and it only seems like it's coming from the left rear wheel... there's nothing stuck in the tread, it sounds like a metal kind of sound - maybe diff. ?
Has any one heard of this before?

wheels are stock rims with Dunlop SP9000 on them.

It only does this 'under a load' - in otherwords, it dosen't do it when letting off the brake and rolling forward.

thanks for the help - I'm kinda worried...

It sounds like my dreaded "Drive-thru Thunk". I get it every time I am in a fast food drive-thru lane, although I can't isolate it to left or right rear wheel. It seems to occur most often if I am turning while moving forward/stopping/forward/stopping. It drives me insane.

I have checked my brake components and everything looks ok. Someone suggested that it is caused by the Porterfield pads, but didn't explain how they could cause it. I have suspected the differential, but I have no other symptoms of a bad diff.

I don't think so - it "clicks" about 3 -4 times before a full rotation
I haven't check any of the braking parts because it seems like it only happens from a stop, and only the first couple of feet...

Thanks for the replies though (keep 'm coming )

Others have had this problem..........as have I. Its supposibly nothing really to worry about though it is annoying. Supposibly the half shaft can be tightened up. I believe by taking the wheel off and putting a impact wrench on it.

My car has been making those exact noises since about a month ago. I haven't done anything about it yet, however.

This noise is the rear axles. The dealer can service it. Lots of people have this problem. It is not the differential.

wow - this is pretty interesting.
I'll take this info to the dealer with me...I've got the warranty, so why not?

Thanks everyone for responding!

I'll post what happens
