i've got a good one, in my last car a 500whp audi. i'm driving along when outta nowhere someone 3 cars ahead of me changes lanes at 70+mph without checking their blind spots. within seconds all hell is breaking loose as now not only 1 car is spinning, but 3/4 cars are spinning and another few are hit as well. I SLAM the brakes as soon as a i see whats going on and luckily i stopped within inches of a crashed car. I turn around and see the traffic behind me isnt stopping, it all happened so fast. i throw the car in reverse rolled back a few inches and dumped the clutch off the redline, cutting to the middle lane from the right. The guy that was behind me crashes right in to the car that was in front of me. i dodge a few crashed cars and kept on my way.

oh and in my honda, driving along on the highway, doing about 65/70 in a 55. its 4am and a cop is about 10 car lengths behind me. I'm driving calmly in the left lane waiting for an exit in about 2 miles just keeping one eye on the cop, crusing. I notice something waaaay up on the shoulder, is that a tv box? Get closer and out of nowhere the tv box jumps out in to the left lane from the shoulder. I swerve, notice the tv box is a human, catch a slight oversteer and expect the lights to come on behind me, cop notices my erratic behavior and speeds up, to turn on his lights, as he does so he pass the guy who attempted to suicide on my car. he slams his brakes and i kept going.

too many to count. Bunch of old people always trying to merge in to the lane I'm already in. Everyday I'm almost hit at the same spot because the bushes are too overgrown and my car is too low for cars pulling out to see

Had a deer jump out in front of me last week. I stopped next to him. I could have touched him he was so close.

Had an SS Camaro attempt to occupy the same space I was is. I had the green light, he had a yield sign. I normally would have gone all nuclear but decided it was the 4th of July and that I would be nice. I just put my hand up asking WTF? I looked in my rear view and he already had his hand our his window. We were next to each other at the next light. He was apologizing before he even came to a stop. Lucky day for us both.

That reminds me. When the +1 and I were driving home the other day from my mother's house (in my car), a deer walked calmly into the street and crossed. It's a pretty heavily populated area and a heavily traveled street. We were very surprised. Fortunately, it wasn't running and far enough ahead so I just slowed down and watched it.

I wrote the following in my recent introduction, that fits in this topic:

"An ex-autocrosser with a 1967 Porsche 912, on July 5, 2014, I lost the rear end (but caught it) on my first ride with my new S2K chasing a friend's new Porsche 911 4S through a 60 mph curve, attributable to the awful tires that came with the car, Sumitomo HTR Z 11. I've ordered Dunlop Direzza Z11's that should get me on track."

In fact the rear end skidded back and forth as I steered into the skids. I thought I was going to crash. Suddenly, enough speed had been scrubbed off that the car settled down. Oddly, as the ride progressed and the tires heated up, I drove fairly fast through curves, although I could hear the tires whine in the curves, which I never hear in my Honda Fit (following). I am used to this level of driving in my (believe it or not) 2011 Honda Fit Sport 5MT with 215/40-17 Kumho ECSTA LE Sport tires.

This one is from many years ago and not in the S. I was driving the Beltway in DC and a piece of plywood from a truck in front of me came flying through the air right into the front of the hood on the driver's side, then flew over the car. One inch higher and it would have slammed into my windshield, no doubt killing me. The corner made a huge dent. I was so mad I chased him and flagged him down to pull over. His company paid for the damage.
