i just don't like when people hold on to the glass to do it. then they insist it doesn't make a difference, then i explain that it could cause the glass not to seal properly with the top over time, then they say they don't know what i'm talking about--I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! DON'T DO IT!

I picked up a friend to go eat the other day. It was the first time he rode in my car. The dude slams the door so hard, when he got in, that I felt the car shake. I was thinking "...the ****'s his problem?" I didn't think much of it and he did it again when I dropped him off. Last time I get food with this fool.

I actually shattered a buddy's passenger side window one time when I slammed his door a little too hard. I guess the window had a little too much play in it to begin with, so when I slammed the door, the glass slapped against the door and completely shattered. This was an old 70's Toyota Corona though, I would like to think the S is a little more well-built than that car was. I don't slam my own door though, I mean what's the point? It doesnt take much for it to latch shut anyhow.

i absolutely hate it when people slam the friggin door. it's fine to close it, but you don't need to put your body weight into swinging the door shut and trying to make the panels fall off

I don't really get the point of slamming doors. What car needs to have the whole force of your body weight shoved in to close anyway? It's just pure disrespectful to slam anyone's door, even if it is a beater.
