clutch noise

i noticed my car whines during cold idles. the noise goes away as soon as i depress the clutch pedal and returns immediately after pedal released. the noise gets softer after the car warms up. other than the noise, the car runs perfect. anyone experienced this problem? is it normal?

I just had my clutch replaced under warranty for this problem> Seems the disk has to much spring tension and "excites" the gear box causing the whine> Check it out with your dealer.
