I have only had my car a few days but I was wondering if anyone has experienced a "grinding/rattle" noise coming from the transmission after shifting into second gear.

It doesn't sound like the 1-2 grind (TSB 055) because I think that happens when the clutch is fully depressed while the noise I'm talking about is at low, 2500-3500 RPM, when the clutch is fully engaged and the tranny is fully engaged into second.

I know this is more of a race car and some roughness and noise is to be expected.

I know it's nothing I've done since I have noticed this from day one. Also, I think if I shift at a higher RPM there is no noise. Maybe I'm just babying the car too much.

What's your opinions?

It may be the noisy clutch problem that TSB-054 takes care of (reduces but not eliminates it). It's more of a rattle vibration that you may feel through the clutch pedal while decelerating. I had the TSB-054 done, but before, I would feel/hear the rattle/vibration if I was in low gears and decelerating with foot totally off the throttle. It was worse from about 3k down to 2k. There was no noise in the same rpm range when accelerating.
