Default clutch pedal

hey i have an 01 s2k. i notice the clutch pedal is VERY heavy and very direct as in once i lift off the floor it just grabs and goes. i have no room to slip it in gently. also there is a lot of freeplay on the clutch. i notice it's hard to shift because the vehicle bucks....i know how to drive a manual as i've had 7 stick cars of my own in the past. i am curious what could this problem be. maybe bad clutch. i have an extended warranty does honda cover the clutch if its faulty. car has 26000 miles.

Where's the free play? Near the floor or at the top?

Warrantees won't cover a wear item like a clutch.
Sounds like the clutch is not fully disengaging. When was the last time you had the fluid changed and bled? That might help.
You may also have a leaking master or slave cylinder. Or your release fork could use some greasing. Or your throw out bearing could be sticking.

No. Fluid changes and grease jobs are maintenance items. It's your nickel.
And if they can prove that your maintenance has been lacking, they "could" even deny warranty on things like master or slave cylinders should they be damaged due to corrosion from not doing the maintenance in a timely fashion.

i have the same thing, my other s2k friends at our local car club, said the clutch feels different from theirs. but mine shifts very smoothly, i think it must be an after market clutch. You should look at it.
