Default Clutch slipping already!?

So for the past 2-3k miles, I've noticed a whirring sound after shifting at higher speeds. It sounds like it might be the clutch slipping, but the car only has 33k miles.

This was my first stick, and I know that I probably wore it a lot during the first 10-15k. Still, I never did anything to really "fry" it. Is it actually possible that with slightly sub-par driving, it could need a clutch job?

Don't feel that bad. I wore mine out in 10k miles, due to the stupid clutch delay valve. $2k later it is no longer an issue. Get ready for the bill, it won't be pretty. Let me guess after you shift at high rpm it will let go and make a revving noise? I just got a stage three clutchmasters clutch, lightweight flywheel and 03 slave cylinder and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

It's not that bad yet. I can actually stick the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts at redline without the clutch slipping most of the time. I'm going to get the slave delay removed in the next few days, and hope that it prolongs the life a bit.

It depends on your driving method. You might have been doing something wrong that should've been corrected a while ago. Or perhaps you put a lot of premature wear when you first drove the car.

Delay valve is the culprit. If you damage teh differential or transmission it will most likely NOT be covered under warranty. That is if the genius mechanics even realize what you've done.
