OK, so at 30,000ish miles it turns out I needed to replace the clutch. I think I mentioned the pedal sticking, so I took it to Crest and it turns out the clutch was in VERY bad shape. I suspected as much, so I did not disagree. The fact that a clutch was done at 30k is one thing

clutch going out at 30k? wow, that's pretty fast. i'd say that the avg life span is about 100k unless you're doing lots of crazy driving.

i bought my car from my friend who didn't really know how to drive stick, but my clutch is still going. i bought the car knowing that the clutch will give sooner than later, but it still engages well.

I'm glad you got your clutch problem sorted out. Sorry it gave out so early. I'm still running on my stock clutch at a little more than 75K. I don't know if removing the delay valve would make it last any longer or not.

Delay valve removal would make it worse, I'm at 45k miles and my clutch is nowhere near gone. I would expect 75k - 100k miles on an S clutch with fairly aggressive driving.

My clutch went at 60k somthing. I only owned it since 40k though. Mine is on jackstands again getting a better one. Whatever they charge to put one in is worth it if you do not want/can not put it in. It is the most PITA thing to do on these cars, that I have run in to anyway.

Dang, my S had over 65k miles when I sold it. I treated it well but I drove the shit out of it. The clutch was as strong as mile #1 as it was on 67k. I never launched the car though and I'm a super****ingfantasticawesomenessdriver though.

heh.
