Yes my friend it is your clutch....period! If you do a clutch drop south of 7.5 K your clutch just sits and spins. This is because your tire adhesion is too great to break loose at low (read 4-5K RPM) levels. By the way clutch drops are not advised on this car. If you do get past the clutch, your LSD takes the hit next....and he's a wimp too.

The S2k has an autocross oriented clutch, and is NOT designed for drag racing or any sort.
As Utah said, clutch drops at any low RPM in 1st gear are a "No-No". Want to save your clutch - Get off the pedals!
