The AEM and Injen are nearly identical and cost the same. Injen is one piece, AEM is two piece.

On the topic of AEM CAI, is it any quieter than say on a Prelude? I Had a Prelude prior to the S2000 and thought the CAI sounded as loud as the stock motor in VTEC all the time, which for me was a little irritating. The S2000 is loud all the time with the top down so I wonder if its any better on the s2000?

I really dont care about the sound. I just want a good CAI so my engine can breath better and also add some horsepower even though I know it will not be much.

Thanks

It's only loud when you are at WOT or in VTEC. I don't even notice it in daily driving.

i personally have an injen cai that i installed just a few days ago. i have pics but no one here seems to be able to tell me how to post them. anyhow, i was at an autocross event this weekend where i saw another S with an aem cai. Just like mentioned above, the only real difference between these two systems is the fact that the aem one is a 2 piece, mainly designed to go along with their bypass valve, which in my opnion is not needed because of the actual placement of the filter. I have both my brake ducts cut open and have driven through rain and thank god no problems. one thing to note though, that because of the 2 piece construction, one of the bends on the aem intake seems to be more acute and would seem to make a slight difference in performance. I dont recall who had the thread before, but on the dyno, these to cai were almost identical, but the edge did go to the injen. but you do get color options with the aem. oh well. injen's comes polished with red tubing, looks amazing nezt to our red valve cover. i think both are also relatively the same price, i believe they gofor 275 or so uninstalled of course. hope that helps.
oh yeah, this kit sounds totally stock when you are just cruising around. but beware , if you are on it, it screams like a bat out of hell, and will suck up small kids and animals.
