Default cold weather problems!!!

just got my sweet ride a couple weeks back......... must say i love HER...

anywayzz.... to the problems im having already,

getting the tsb on the clutch done on thursday,

also my front suspension is squeeking(more like yelling) all the time. first i though it was the steering making all the fuss, but later i found that just by pushing up and down on front fender the noise can be duplicated.

also this notorious squeeck coming from the rear of the car after a long drive that shows up only after a stop and go.

otherwise i couldnt be happier!!!! .... takin it on on thursday for a complete fix......wooooooohaaaa..... i cant wait

Congrats on your new toy. Let us know what the fixes were and if they resolved the problems. I can't imagine it's the cold. This is my 2nd winter and I haven't experienced these symptoms yet. Hopefully, the car wasn't brand spanking new with all these issues. I can see possible spring spacers still in, diff fluid change & possible rear wheel bearing. The clutch job should do wonders too. Good luck! Also, document every scratch on the car before you let them have it. Even better, while it's in the service bay. Take digital pictures from every angle for later "computer" enhancement and proof. Oh yeah, did I mention I don't trust dealers?

I had that problem on the S2000. Turns out the bolts at the bottom of the fender near the rocker panel were loose allowing the panel to move and squeak.

Have you checked for spring spacers?

I'm having that SAME squeeky sound when I stop and go. Mine comes from the rear of the car. It makes the sound EVERY SINGLE TIME I accelerate from a stop, and 75% of the time when I stop. Just my damn luck, when I take it in to the dealer to have it checked out, I COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE NOISE!!! I was so pissed, I wanted to hit someone. Took the car home, woke up the next morning, and there it was, that DAMNED noise again! Let me know what happens with your situation, I'll keep you updated with mine as well.

P.S.
To be exact, mine makes a metallic sound.
I believe it has something to do with the
suspension. I lifted the cars right rear wheel
with the jack. Whene ever I put the car back down,
I'd get that horrid sound. I didn this many times
and got the same results.

Jack it back up and spray all the gromets and junctions with silicon lube. After doing this a few times you may find it.

Did you work out where your suspension noise was coming from. I get a squeek too when I drive at slow speed (prob. can hear it at higher speeds) I can't work out what is causing it. Can't be because of the cold thought, its 30 degrees celcius here.

Is this sound heard while going over speed bumps and stuff like that? I get that squeak too ... perhaps I should get under my car tomorrow and tighten things up a bit?
