Colgan Bra for 2004-2005
For those interested...Colgan has finally released their nose mask for 2004-2005 S2000's. They are currently on back order.
Despite some of the rave reviews of clear bras, I'm a traditionalist at heart and still like to have some padded vinyl while attacking the cones on weekends.

I would agree that for weekend racing the vinyl bras are great but for daily driving the clear bra is really nice as there is no maintenance to it and it looks great (almost invisible on the Silverstone Metallic). Personally I am not a big fan of the looks of a vinyl bra and have ran into problems with paint fade (Red Car) and having it starting to look kind of ratty after a couple of years, personal choice I guess. I balked at spending the $450.00 for the Clear-bra but after only a few shorts weeks I already had a number of paint chips on the front of the car (There is a lot of road construction going on here). Fortunately the Clearbra installer detailed the chips prior to putting the clearbra on and I have had only one paint chip since, it was on the hood of the car just below the windshield wipers. Neither the Clearbra or vinyl bra would have made a difference. Overall I am quite happy with my decision and noticed that the MB dealer down here puts them on all the MB's sold from his dealership, FWIW, however it may be just another way to hose the potential purchaser for a few more bucks.
Mi dos centavos,

Oh yeah, one other thing about the Clearbra that I don't like. Have you ever scraped the bottom of the lip on the front of the car coming off a steep driveway? When you do that with the Clearbra, it ends up kind of shedding the material in the area that was scraped and you have to trim it up to stop it from getting moisture under the clearbra later on. That's about my only complaint.
