Default Color matched center console?

I was thinking of an idea to have the rear portion of my center console sanded smooth and painted to match the exterior of my car. Kinda like all of the corvette's "waterfall" center consoles. If it were sanded smooth, then prepped with a coating of bondo, then painted to match the exterior color, I think it might look pretty good. But I'm unsure if it would look good since the rear tray would still be black. Any ideas about this? Maybe some of you photoshop artists could do a quickie to see what it would look like.

I've tought of doing this to several pieces in my interior to give a lighter touch in the all black interior of the '00. I have a silverstone so I was thinking of smoothing and painting the rough plastic parts coming from the radio surround all the way up the center console. I think it would lighten up the interior and give a tasteul unique touch. I can do the preperation but I would have them painted base coat/clear coat by a professional to aviod the spray bomb look popular with the ricers.

you can remove the tray and have it sprayed... I don't know if I would want that much color, but my car is yellow, and I think it would be a little too much... it can be done... while your at it, you could have a honda or S badge integrated into the box just like the vettes if you were so inclined... just a thought... good luck!
