Which unit were you with and whats your rank?
I know alot of honda dealers still have 2006's in stock, you could try to go for one of those, and get a better interest rate, if your approved. I know the dealers around here are practically giving those away for like $29,000 and under. Thank you for your service to our country, your s2k will be well deserved

USAA is great.
I came back in early 06 and came back with around 17k because I never had time to spend it since I wasn't hardly ever inside the wire.
You should easily be able to afford an 04-05 especially if you live in the barracks because you keep all your money basically.

I'm still in Iraq (contractor) (Tikrit), honestly I think you should think twice before dumping all your earnings on a car...its not the brightest thing to do.
If you seriously think you can get 15-16k for a 93EK then I would suggest using what you can from that and get an AP1 S2k and hopefully without the need for a loan.
I would bank the money (save it) and work on future plans like what you plan on doing after the military/where the military will take you if you go career.
The car will be fun but its not always the best choice; I am adding all my earnings to my savings account which will eventually cover a large sum of a house.

Oh and for the love of God don't go to a dealership near your base.
If they're anything like the ones in lejeune they will all try and rook you.

Congrats on coming back! I haven't had to go over... yet
Make sure to be wise with your money though. I saved up money from the Army and bought a new 05' S2K with all the money I had, but then when I realized I needed to move down to Miami I had to sell it so I could better pay for school. I basically threw away a crazy amount of money. But you will be extremely happy with the S2K! I will be making the big bucks soon and will get another
You won't regret the S2K, just make sure you can afford it.
Also, periods in sentences are your friend lol
