Default coming out of winter storage

I know there was a thread about this at some time but I can't find it despite searching. It was in storage for almost 5 months and I'm taking it out soon. Battery is on a battery tender so that'll be fine. I also have fuel stabilizer in.

What is the proper way to start the car after being down so long? I thought I remember reading something about people turning it over without starting to circulate oil? What do you all think?

I have just restarted the car in the past.

One option is to drain off about 1 qt of oil and then put a quart in through the top before restarting. This is about the easiest way to do it.
