Comments invited on another Clutch Thing
Starting at about 25000 miles I started getting this squeaking, binding and drag when letting out the clutch especially in first and reverse when it is engaged slowly. The first simple lubing of the pedal mechanism by the dealer did not work nor did the three subsequent complete flushings of the system. The first time the fluid turned black, then I noticed small bits of black material in the fluid the next two times.
Just last Tuesday my dealer replaced the entire actuation system from the master to the slave cylinder. Now four days later the squeaking and binding has returned. Any similar experiences out there?
Obviously I will be contacting my service advisor on Tuesday but although they seem pretty responsive I sense they are not keeping up on the latest S2000 issues. They have done both TSB054 and 055 as well as the courtesy replacement of my scratched (by the selling dealer) rear window. But they usually seem surprised when I bring up stuff I see on this site.
I am at a loss as to what else would need replacing but if there are any further ideas I will suggest them. The car now has a bit over 33000 miles
Thanks everyone.
