Default Comptech @ Evasive

Have a wild hair in my ass to go ahead with the Comptech and have it drop shipped overnight so I can have the long weekend to put it on. I believe I have to send the ECU out to have it recoded, but wouldn't mind having the hardware installed over the weekend. I have a buddy that installs TRD blowers for the Toyota dealership that is going to lend a hand, so that's a plus also. Evasive seems to have the best price on it at 4300 bucks. I'm new to the S and wanted to make sure they are a good company to deal with (even though I will be most likely just having it drop shipped..wouldn't think they would have it in stock but if they did that would be nice). Thanks for any info.

You have to have the ECU done on the '06's? That's new. The old system came with a EMS that hooked into the stock ECU.

I spoke with Comptech last week and the impression I got was that the only added expense was about $400 to have the ECU recdoded. They don't have the module for 06 yet. Evasive is checking on this and is going to call me back.

Well good news and bad news. They do have everything ready now and ECU included (no recode required), but as stated earlier the list is about 6500 and Comptech is selling 10% off for 6K. It *is* the aftercooled setup and the only one being offered. That pushes me somewhat over my personal limit. I would shell out $4500 for the non aftercooled version, but not 6K. A blower kit for my Boxster S was about 7K, and I thought the Honda would be cheaper to mod...doesn't appear to be the case...at least not with the 06-07. I'm going to call Comptech and ask them if they are planning to offer a non-aftercooled version.

I'm going to check into that option in about 5 minutes. Talked to Comptech again. They said no one was ordering kits without the aftercooler due to reduced performance in hot weather. I could live with a little reduced performance less $1500 bucks..lol. They do not offer just the SC kit...it is only available with the aftercooler. Anyone here have any experience with the Inline turbo kit?
