...They said no one was ordering kits without the aftercooler due to reduced performance in hot weather. I could live with a little reduced performance less $1500 bucks..lol.

IMHO...living in SC...I don't think you will be happy with the kit without an aftercooler. That is, unless you just plan to drive your car in the winter. Keep in mind...the charger doesn't really kick in until 6K RPM and pulls all the way to fuel cut-off. That's only 2k RPM for us AP2 guys. When you only have a 2K power "sweet spot", you want as much power as possible. Cooler air means more power!
If the blower starts sucking in warm air...huge loss in HP.
When I used to run GP bikes in the AMA in the southeast, we used to rejet about 3 times a day. The humidity will kill you down here also. I agree with you in that the Comptech would be nice to have, but $6500 stings. I could get a used track day bike to thrash around for that kind of bank.
On a better note, my OEM front & rear lips did come in yesterday so I'll be putting those on this evening. I spoke with Vortech yesterday and they are coming out with their kit in about 2 months, and from the way it sounded it didn't sound quite as expensive. I know the Comptech supposedly has a "more safe" computer setup, but if the Vortech is around $4500 bucks then I'm sure it could be mapped to be a safe setup as well.
