Comptech
Hey guys, 12 psi is the maximum that the Novi 1000 blower will produce. My guess is that when Comptech went up to 12 psi without intercooling the timing retarded significantly due to the heat and that is why they didn't make any more top end power. If the stock internals of the engine can take 12 psi of boost, I would expect a properly tuned supercharged s2k would put out close to 380hp at the wheels. However to properly tune an S2K for that type of boost a lot on engineering would have to go into a fuel system upgrade and serious intercooling. So 6k would be about right for that serious of a kit. If the engine can handle a properly boosted 10 or 12 psi all the supercharger guys would be a lot happier because that could probably get better times by launching lower. Although you would be making more boost at lower rpm it still wouldn't be comparable to Derryck's turbo kit at the same boost levels. (High end yes, low end not quite) My guess would be high 11's or low 12's at 10 to 12psi of boost. Anyway that's just my 2 cents.
Mocantec,
Aren't you concerned about having an S2000 with a Supercharger serviced in El Salvador? Or maybe you have a mechanic that you trust?
I'm not asking out of ignorance. I'm from Nicaragua (but living in Texas right now), so I'm asking because I know there are probably few garages in El Salvador, or Central America for that matter, that would be knowledgeable enough to do trustworthy work on your car.
At least in Nicaragua, I always hated having to take my car (Civic)to the Honda dealership because I felt the work they did was poor. I have often wondered what I would do when I buy my S2000 here and then move back in a few years. I would not trust the Honda people to work on this car.
Your car should be faster than 99% of the cars in El Salvador, even without the supercharger.
Que disfrutes el carro!
