But ... if there are no assets, then too bad. If they liquidate the company and there are still assets remaining, then those probably will go into a fund to pay off warranty claims.
I'm pretty sure the shareholders will grab any remaining funds after creditors are paid - they're not going to set up a warranty fund!

They may not have shareholders. Like I said, it goes into the details of the way the company is organized. The customers with warranties are legitimate creditors; the people liquidating the company can't just ignore them and grab the cash (legally). But most likely there won't be any cash to grab anyway.

I've heard the same thing, which is one reason that I didn't go with Vortech to begin with. With Comptech out, I may not even go F/I at all. Now I just need to go about finding out what's going to happen with the order I placed 2 weeks ago.
I've had nothing but positive experiences with Vortech's customer service.

I'm not comfortable having something as expensive and intricate as a supercharger without any customer service support, warranty, or replacement parts if needed.
Now you know how I feel...this really pisses me off...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that somehow someone will pick up their designs and provide support for those of us with their blowers.

Man, imagine how the Comptech-supercharged NSX folks feel...those kits cost upwards of 10K!!!!!

Well, as far as CARB-approved superchargers go, at least there's still the Vortech kit...
