I made a pad. I bought a piece of yellow foam large enough to cover the opening. I then took the cover off the airbox and traced the shape of the opening onto the bottom of the foam. I used a razor blade to cut the foam half way up to the shape of the opening of the airbox. This created a notch that is about 1/2" deep that fits down into the opening. I then made a few cosmetic cuts to what is the top of the foam (it is still pretty much a rectangle) and then glued a piece of toolbox drawer lining to the top of it. The end result is pretty nice - a foam piece that will fill the hole and presses into the airbox for a nice fit. Plus, it's black and yellow to match the car. Only down side is that it has some compression marks from the hood. But, it does it's job very well.

I have an RM Racing CAI installed and me and Charlie are removing it this week end. Charlie removed his some time ago. It does nothing for performance, sounds a little better than the stock box but now that I have a super sprint exhaust I dont need the sound. And, in hot weather like we have been having, there is a noticeable loss in power plus there is always the concern of sucking in water. Im disappointed that Comptech didnt design their CAI to fit better and think using foam, velcro or whatever to correct a poor design is sad.
