[QUOTE]Many people use the Comptech to "drown" their fears of hydrolock.

Hold your applause please...

I had the comptech for some time. Throttle response was improved but wasn't drastic. The car felt smoother towards the top of the powerband. And happy birthday

FYI, Comptech has redesigned their intake for the S2000. They have just recently started shipping the new models after not producing them for about 7 months. I think it isn't a major redesign but they addressed a lot of little issues as well as changing materials. We should be getting our first new one here soon. Just something to think about....

Any idea specifically, what "little issues" they addressed?

Aem V2 nets about 7hp and 6tq at the wheels, and could destroy your engine in certain wet conditions if you're not careful.
Absolutely true, about the "destroying your engine" part. When I removed my AEM, the filter was almost touching the bottom of the bumper. Made me very nervous.

My contact told me that the rattling issue and the issue with it rubbing on the underside of the hood have both been addressed. Like I said, we should be getting our first one in here shortly. If you want I can post back as to any noticable changes...

Issue with rubbing underside is not resolved. Mine is brand new and I had to wait 6 months, strait from comptech. That is what they told me as well. The only differences that I have seen is that they now appear to have altered a bracket from the original, really no difference. As for the hood prop, I went with the Tein hood supports and took my OEM one out.
