Default hey guys, please read this

I know this has nothing to do with an S2000 and should have been put in the off topic forum but, I wanted to put this in the most popular forum so here it is.
My boss at works name is Sean. He was of those guys that everybody likes. He is a great leader, a great boss, and a friend of mine. A few days ago his wife and son were hit head on by a drunk driver. His wife was hurt very badly and probably won't ever fully recover. His son is dead. He was killed instantly. They were on there way home from Christmas shopping. I'm not going to get long winded about this but just think about how my boss and friend is going to have to spend this christmas with a barely concious wife and altogether without his ten year old son Jacob. Please guys, be careful this holiday season and all the time. Thanks for listening.
Chris

BTW, If you see this getting down to the bottom of the page, give it a little bump. I'd like to see this read by as many people as possible. Thanks

Drunk driving, I just can't believe it...penalty for that should be capital punishment, I have no tolerance for that crap like that.

that's very sad... sorry to hear about your boss.

my prayers go out to him and his family.

the sad part is, during the holidays, drunk driving is going to get worse so please be careful...

integrate: i agree.. but i'd rather see those f**kers live with guilt for the rest of their lives rather than throwing them onto the chair...

Chris (and to all),

First, I'm sorry beyond words to hear of your friends loss, my family and I will be thinking about him and hoping for a full and quick recovery for his wife. As a father, I can't imagine the loss.

On Sept. 11th, we all took pause and recoiled in horror after the attacks, and many swore to do (or support) whatever it took to make sure that it will never happen again. Drunk driving is a killer that's brought on by us, the citizen's of the US, and takes more lives, many more, than the Sept. 11th attacks. We do it to ourselves, yet the pain is just as real.

We can all make a difference, we can all be role models by walkin' the walk and talkin' the talk by refusing to drink and drive. For our friends and family members that try to drive drunk, PLEASE intervine. Call 'em a cab or drive them yourself. You could very well save the life of someone you love....or you could be saving my life.

Finally, (this is for everyone!) do your friends and family KNOW how important they are to you?

-P

Sean and his wife are in my thoughts for Christmas

Drink driving is one christmas tradition that should be stamped out hard.

I'm sorry to hear that.
If only people would take responsibility for their actions.

Cabs are cheap, and if you can't afford one, in most states, the bartender has to call a free cab for you if you tell them you're too drunk to drive.

There is no excuse for drinking and driving. Limit yourself, limit your friends. They might get mad when you take the keys, but but it's much easier on your conscience to have a mad friend than a dead one. Just do it.

Chris, your friends are in my thoughts, and I hope for the best in Sean's wife's recovery and for the both of them as they deal with the grief over losing their son.
