you know topics like this really scare me to push the limits of my new 03. Although i have been driving for about 5 years ive never owned a RWD car. Before i had 2 pretty modded 00' Si's and now the jump to an s2000 is a big difference. Im not stupid and have not been pushing the car on turns because i just dont know the limits of the car, and only being 18 years old im scared to wreck the $30k masterpiece. Can anyone give some pointers or tips on when you can feel the limits of the car unraveling? i know this is a very hard question to answer but hopefully just the little things will help....

Well, take some novice lessons at the track or go find an empty parking lot.

I have lost confidence too - but for a different reason.

For the first 18 months of ownership I never got a speeding ticket.
Then I got one - and lost 3 licence points (you get to lose 12 over 2 years before you lose your licence in this stae).
Now I find myself worrying on every road if there is a cop around the next corner and staying much closer to the speed limit.
Silly, since the odds are still overwhelmingly on my side.
But hard to shake, nevertheless.

I only really spun out once, and that was when I came out of an exit that happened to have a landscaper business right after it and they had spilled some dirt on the road. It had been raining so it was mud.

I've broken it loose in small ways that were easily controlled though. After I switched out the SO2's for Yokohama DB's for the winter I found I could feel the tire loosing traction much better than with the So2's. Now I'm not so sure if I want to go back in the summer.

That sway bar weighs 28 pounds?!? Stiff, sure, but that's awfully heavy. Double what a stock bar weighs, I imagine.

Is the turn in faster with that sway bar? I would give 14 pounds to have quicker turn in, less body roll, and less oversteer.

Is this mod worth it for an 02/03? I know the 00 and 01's had weaker bars...
