The MY00-03's are made by Enkei. MY04-05 i believe are Asashi.

The 06 and up wheels are not made by Enkei anymore.
I could have sworn when I took off my wheels that I saw an Enkei "brand" on it.

The reproduction will likely look fine but be heavy heavier than stock. If you're considering them, ask for weights.

The choice is really going to be between refinishing and the lower cost wheel. Getting them to pay $500 for a new wheel is a battle. Getting $250 for refinishing they will do. This is not as easy as a traffic accident. If you get rear ended, the other party is ALWAYS at fault. And their insurance company will pay right away.

These garages are dealing with damage below your deductable. And unless you plan on suing them, you don't have a lot of recourse.

I am taking the wheel to the refinisher tomorrow. If this wheel is the same as the production wheel, it would seem a good deal. If the manufacturer is Asahi and it looks identical, how would it be different?

This is the picture from their site:

And the description:

About to leave for wheel refinisher. Had hoped someone had used these wheels and would have some feedback.

If I'd know about this before, I probably would have ordered a set rather than buying them here.
