in my opinion the vehicle is priced accordingly, KBB values the car at retail at 18,500, what u may expect to pay at a dealership, Certified hondas you can probably expect it to be priced at 20,000+. Private party the prices range from 15,900(excelent) to 13,700(poor) condition.

and in my opinion buying from an independent used car lot is almost the same as buying from an individual, they're probably selling you the car as is without really having serviced the vehicle before selling.

having said all this try and bargain down a little, have a mechanic look the car over and if the car is mechanically sound, never been in an accident, go for it.

There was at least some front end damage judging on the (very) uneven gaps of the hood to fenders and on the left front fender the S2000 logo doesn't line up, engine head re-painted red(??), difficult to see, but front bumper color differences with rest of bodywork.

Hmmmm....

Asking way too much money too.
lol @ this comment.

that price is more than fair for the car given its mileage and condition. i probably wouldnt pick up this particular car though seeing as how its been modded, but an ap2 with under 60k miles for under 16k sounds like a good deal to me IMO.

Price is good.

Looking at what vtec and others have said I would highly recommend you take this to a mechanic to get it checked out. By the description of the vehicle it looks like the owner barely even knows the vehicle or bought the car with all of the mods on it already and didn't bother to ask what was in it.

"Silver" in color
"Xenon" headlights
Clutch replaced extremely early
"Custom premium sound system"
"17 inch black rims"

They should have mentioned...

"Sebring Silver"
"HID" Headlights
Brands of the sound system if it's aftermarket
Brands and measurements of the wheels
etc

On top of that the driver's seat looks really worn, especially the outer bolster near the door and the valve cover is missing. Not sure what brand of oil filter that is either.

They're either selling this for someone else or they really weren't an S2000 enthusiast which would make me weary buying it. Please please please have a mechanic check it out if you're serious about buying it.

Thanks again for all of your input. You've all confirmed some suspicions I had. Is a big help and saves me a couple hours of driving.

Thanks!
