Default Considering an S2000

Hi everyone,
I've seen a few S2000's around and I think it's a great looking car but I have a few questions. I'm a little apprahensive because I've never been a fan of imports, I've got no particular complaints about them (other then the ricers that always want to try and run my vette, lol) but this particular car really got my attention, so I have a few questions, How is the build quality, interior and mechanically? I havn't taken one out for a test drive yet, nor have I even seen the interior of one in person. I'm 6 Ft 1, I really don't want to be cramped into a little car. Please tell me it's bigger then say... a Miata. How's the leg room and headroom. As to performance, obviously I don't expect it to be on par with my 96 vette (atleast in stock trim) but what kind of numbers can be expected in the 1/4? Is there any luggage room at all. What about reliability, my current vette is really kicking my azz in this department and I need a reliable form of transportation, a C5 is what I was deadset on going with next and still pretty much is but I'm trying to keep my options open. The S2000 looks really sharp though and it's a allot cheaper as well which is nice. My girls Prelude never dies on her so that's why I'm considering picking up one of these cars, just want some advice first. Also, are there big differences between an 00, 01, and 02? Thanx for any suggestions or info you can provide.

Try to find a used one for a test drive.

This 9,000 red line engine likes to be broken in properly, and taking a new car from the lot with less than 600 miles on it, and shifting at red is a bit tough for the person who will actually buy the car.

I suspect several people will jump in and say baloney, there is no need to avoid 9,000 rpm below 600 miles, but we all know, opinions vary.

As mentioned above, this is really very, very different from a V8 Vette. Know what you are buying before you do so! And yes, we love it!
