contemplating buying an s2k, have some questions
I am interested in buying an S2000 (MY 00-01) when spring rolls around. However I am concerned with the following issues:
-Transmission
-Differential
-Clutch
-Rear axle
The car will more then likely have the occasional drop from 6,500-7,000 rpm's. Hopefully I'll have the chance for some tracking as well as the usual mountain drives.
Although I've wanted to have an s2k for quite some time now, its not a practical option if I have to constantly worry about the following issues. Thanks for your insight.

What you said is very true. However, the E36 M3 for instance will not need to be dropped from 6,500-7,000 in order to get the same results. And there are no problems being reported such as the transmission and so on.
And no, I am not only interested in drag racing what so ever at all. But I know it will happen on occasion and it does need the high drop to get the best performance.
Also I have herd stories of transmission failure without any abuse to the car.
I am very interested in this car. I love it every bit, I just don't want the head aches.

If one drops anything enough..does it not usually break?
If your are nervous, then maybe you should not buy one. You will always be driving around trying to convince yourself that something is wrong. IMHO
