Default Control arm question

First off, mods, if it's in the wrong forum, feel free to move it. I promise I won't get mad .

Okay on to the question. So my car was involved in a front impact crash (not with me.. previous owner) And he said everything was fixed right.. with all stock parts. As soon as I got the car.. I noticed it was pulling really bad to the left. But when I held the wheel at 12 o'clock it went straight, but as soon as I let go.. it pulled. So I took it in for an alignment at a really well-known shop that does a lot of S2000's around here.

Anyways.. he told me that the reason my car was pulling so bad was because the front righ A-arms were replaced with the wrong parts. He said that the a-arms on my car are smaller than the actual a-arms of an S2000. (I know they were replaced, it has yard-markings on the parts that were replaced.)

Is that an honest cause to the pulling senstation, or did he pull it out of his ass to give me a simple solution? (Also.. he said he couldn't get all the camber and toe perfect because of my a-arm problem)

Thanks in advance!

-Aaron

I'd take it somewhere else, don't tell them anything about the accident and just tell them "it's pulling, could I get an alignment" and see what they say.

Pull the wheel and check your control arms against another S2000.

Why's that? At the very least you can compare across your two front arms with your OEM tools.

No one to really compare to.. I live in the bay area, but it seems it's hard to find people willing to do much for you. I've met a few good stand up guys.. but the rest are in the cliques that have had their S's since day one in '00 and keep it that way.

I haven't tried on this particular occasion posting yet.. but I've tried to get some help with other things and all of them but one said some sort of no.

You should be able to put a post up in the Bay area forum and get decent support. There may be a few annoying kids running around but there are a good number of helpful members as well.
