I have't used it at all. Most members don't seem to and it doesn't cause any damage. Takes to much trunk space also and I belive its probably a few pounds. My top stays pretty clean with 303!!

I had used it a few times when i first got my S - I'd like to use it more but if you're going to be going top up & several times while running to the gym and about town that thing becomes all the more impractical. I consider it (the convertible boot ) a very bad design element of the S.
exactly my top goes up and down 2-3 times a day.

i've used it once - just to see how it goes on. that boot sits with the boot from the miata on top of a storage cabinet in the garage. we never park the cars with the top down, even for a 10 minute Target in-and-out. we might use it if we ever do some sort of drive from SF to LA or something.

i never used mine, and seeing that mine has lost its daily driver status after i got it ready for show, i usually just keep the veilside tonneau on it now.

Seldom use it here either, I hate leaving the top down when going shopping, and if I put the cover in the trunk it takes up too much room. Only use it when going visiting friends or when top will stay down for a long time.

Never use it. The boot remains on a dingy shelf in the garage. Of course, having a garage is a big help. South Carolina is very prone to thundershowers, even on apparently sunny days, so the top must be put up any time the car is left out of doors for more than a few minutes. It would be altogether too much work to fiddle with the boot. On several occasions already, sudden showers while driving top down have necessitated a quick maneuver off the road, followed by emergency top raising.

Sure, why not?? Our SoCal air is also therefore all over the interior, on our clothes, in our hair, on our skin...and oh yeah: in our lungs. Don't breath anything you can't see. We'll die off from lung cancer but out ragtops'll be clean!!

When I got the car home last week (new 04), I left the boot in the plastic and put it up in the attic. I doubt I will ever use it (strictly b/c of the trunk space it takes up
