Default Convertible top cover...should I use it?

Should I use the convertible top cover? Find that there's already no trunk space if I put the cover in there.

I've never used mine but saw a bunch of people on Sunday's run with it installed. It makes the car look much better...I didn't realize how much until I saw it in person.

I never put it on since it looked like a major PITA to do but it looks pretty simple. Yes, it will chew up your trunk space but there are some threads where people stated they just roll the thing up and stuff it in the corner so it's not too bad. Let's see...one corner for the car cover, one corner for the boot cover, the well with my spot cleaning supplies....what's left?

It does keep the dust out and the car looks so much nicer with it on.

Definitely use it. From a purely aesthetic point, the car looks better with it on. And from a maintenance point of view, the top will keep cleaner and look better maintained in the long-run. I've had a Chrysler LeBaron convertible a while back, and had a chance to compare the top of mine with that of another who never had the cover on -- major difference, especially on the inside.

Plus, I'd think it's a good idea to keep dust and sand out of the joints...

You know the old saying, "If you don't like the weather in Alberta, wait 5 minutes and it'll change"? This is the reason I don't use the cover. You just never know when you'll have to put that top up. My cover has never been installed, not even to try it out.

I only use it when I know that I can leave the top down for at least the whole day. Most of the time i put it on after I give my car a nice wash'n and a wax'n.
Sometimes i get paranoid about parking with my top down or if the weather is iffy.... so that's why I don't use the top cover

yes ... cause it dust out and looks nicer ...
no ... cause it still takes me more than a couple of min to install it and i have almost no trunk space after i take it out and put it in the trunk ...

you figure out which, where and when the above statement is true ...
